Areas of Practice

You've been injured in a car accident, now what?

First, move away from any oncoming traffic while staying close to the crash site until the police arrive. Always remember that ambulances and emergency rooms are appropriate for life-threatening situations such as head trauma, loss of consciousness, bleeding, and broken bones. Call 911 if necessary and begin getting the help you need.

Next, call the police and exchange information with any other vehicles involved in the crash, gathering data such as driver’s license numbers, phone numbers, names, addresses, insurance information, and license plate numbers. Use your phone’s camera to take pictures of the damage.
